The most reachable map pack in the GTA
In our October 2026 GTA Google Reviews Benchmark, the median contractor in the Oakville map pack top 3 had 44 Google reviews, the lowest of the nine GTA cities we measured, with the middle half between 36 and 90. Compare that with about 100 in searches for Toronto itself and 75 in Mississauga.
Renovation contractors faced the highest bar in Oakville, with a median of 129 reviews in the top 3, while concrete and excavation contractors could get there with far fewer. Photos stood out too: top-3 Google Maps profiles had a median of about 52 photos, more than double the 23 for those ranked 11th to 20th.
Expensive clicks, valuable jobs
In our GTA contractor search costs study, Oakville had the second-highest average Google Ads cost per click of the nine GTA cities we measured, at US$14.79. "Basement renovation Oakville" averaged about US$30 a click and "roofer Oakville" about US$23. The searches we measured that name Oakville add up to about 3,820 a month, with landscaping the most searched.
Expensive clicks and a reachable map pack make Oakville a strong case for SEO: the visibility costs less to earn here than almost anywhere else in the GTA, and each visit is worth more.
